Guitar great Bo Diddley is dead. He was 79 years old. He wasn't just a master at the guitar, he helped create rock 'n' roll. Some say he also invented rap. The 1959 hit "Say Man" definitely has some rapping in it.

Don't take my word for it. Go to iTunes and check it out.

I guess everyone has to die eventually, but I can think of a lot of other assholes that deserved to go before Bo Diddley.

One eBay 'Buy it Now" auction = eight email messages

I purchased something today on eBay using the Buy it Now (BiN) feature. It's something I wanted to get my brother. Instead of waiting for the auction to come to a close on a predetermined day set by the eBay Seller, I just agreed to buy the item immediately.

I've since received eight (8) different email messages pertaining to this item.

A message from eBay telling me I won.
A message from PayPal telling me that my payment was received.
A message from the Seller telling me that I won the item (see #2).
A message from the Seller thanking me for my payment.
A message from the Seller announcing that my item is being prepared for shipment.
A message from the Seller once again thanking me for bidding on the item.
A message from PayPal informing me that my item will be shipped via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail®.
A message from the Seller informing me that my item was shipped.

I have to admit that I don't use eBay all that much anymore. It's stuff like this that makes me want to avoid eBay like the bubonic plague. I tried to buy the item from somewhere other then eBay, but I couldn't find it anywhere other then eBay.

EBay used to be a good place to find stuff. Now it's just a major pain in the ass.

Barry tells Tennessee Republicans to lay off his wife

While appearing on Good Morning America, Barack Hussein Obama denounced the online ad that questions his wife's patriotism.

The Republicans seem to have come to the same conclusion and a GOP Internet campaign in Tennessee has an ad featuring Michelle Obama's comments during the long Democratic campaign that "for the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country."
Michelle Obama was asked about the ad on "GMA," but her husband said, "Let me just interject on this."
"The GOP, should I be the nominee, I think can say whatever they want to say about me, my track record," Obama said. "I've been in public life for 20 years. I expect them to pore through everything that I've said, every utterance, every statement. And to paint it in the most undesirable light possible. That's what they do."
"But I do want to say this to the GOP. If they think that they're going to try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful. Because that I find unacceptable," he said.

What's he going to do, just whine? Clearly Barry wants it both ways. He wants to be able to use his wife out on the campaign trail, but he doesn't want anyone to question anything she says out on the campaign trail.

Personally, I would never question Michelle Obama's patriotism. How can you question something that doesn't exist?

Where's the liberal outrage?

I remember how pissy some of my fellow Democrats got when then Republican Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee released a Christmas video that had something in the background that sort of kind of looked like a cross. Not the kind painted on the wings of the Red Barron, but the kind the Romans used for capital punishment. The kind that Jesus was nailed to.

At the time I didn't see what the big deal was, but if people want to get offended over something that kind of sort of looks religious, who am I to get into their way?

What I don't understand is why these same Democrats aren't registering moral outrage of the newest campaign literature released by Barack Hussein Obama. The difference between Huckabee and Obama is that many of these same Democrats who tried to raise a stink with the Huckabee cross have actually donated money to the Obama campaign. Their money actually helped pay for this religious pandering.

If I didn't know better, I would think Barry was about to lead a bunch of people to Jesus.
